Installation Guide

The Davey SJ60-08 is designed for straightforward installation in residential irrigation, garden watering and rainwater harvesting systems. The pump should be positioned on a stable, level surface in a clean, dry and well-ventilated location, with adequate protection from excessive weather exposure and flooding. Its self-priming, jet-assisted hydraulic design simplifies commissioning, while the integrated Mondial Press electronic controller eliminates the need for additional pressure-control equipment, helping reduce installation complexity.

The pump features a 1¼” BSP female inlet and 1” BSP female outlet, allowing connection to standard irrigation pipework, sprinklers, dripper systems and rainwater distribution networks. The inlet and outlet are positioned close together to simplify pipe routing and make installation more convenient. An integrated check valve assists with priming and supports reliable automatic operation.

The SJ60-08 operates from a 220–240 V, 50 Hz single-phase power supply and is supplied with a 1.8 m power cord and Australian/New Zealand three-pin plug for connection to a suitable electrical outlet.

For optimum performance and service life, the pump should be used only with clean drinking water of neutral pH, free from sediments, abrasive particles and other contaminants. Routine inspection of pipework, fittings and associated system components is recommended to help maintain efficient operation and long-term reliability.
