The pump’s jet, venturi and internal check valve components are made of advanced thermoplastics, such as acetal and Delrin materials that are strong, precise and resistant to water exposure for effective hydraulic performance. The mechanical seal assembly employs carbon and ceramic seal faces and a spring made of 304 stainless steel to reduce leakage and provide reliable operation. Installation Guide

The Davey XJ70P is easily incorporated into home water supply, pressure boosting and rainwater harvesting systems. To obtain the best performance, mount the pump on a firm, level surface in a clean, well-ventilated location sheltered from excessive weather exposure and flooding. Like all XJ Series variants, the XJ70P is designed for use with a Davey Supercell Pressure Tank, with the 24008P and 24018P types preferred for direct top-mount installation.

All pipe work for suction and discharge should be properly sized and sealed to prevent air leaks and to reduce frictional losses. For systems with a suction lift of more exceeding 1 metre, a quality foot valve is recommended. For certain applications, the internal suction-side check valve of the pump should be removed before joining the suction piping for proper functioning.

The pump and suction line must be completely primed with water through the priming port before starting up. After filling, replace the priming plug and secure it before powering the pump. Proper priming is vital to guarantee dependable operation, maintain hydraulic efficiency and protect the pump from damage due to dry running.

The XJ70P is supplied with a 220 – 240V, 50Hz electrical supply. Installation must be carried out in line with local electrical legislation and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
