Pressure Controller

It can be installed as an integral part in Davey’s HM centrifugal pump. It is an electrical device which serves as a smart controller to keep constant water pressure and a steady water flow in homes and business buildings. You can do this by starting the pump at a pressure drop and stopping it at low flows around 1 LPM.

Another advantage of buying the Torrium2 is that it makes it easier to switch on and off the Horizontal Multiple-Stage electropump. This soft start-stop is designed to switch on only when the speed is increased or decreased very slowly, so as to avoid the possibly disastrous effects of water hammer.

The sensor is an important component. It detects a high demand for water and only triggers when the pressure drops down to 80% of the peak output, a strong starting pressure. This peak is automatically set when the booster pump stops and has a flexible use, depending on the performance of any pump.

The Torrium2 has an adaptive start, so it can distinguish between customers who really need water and customers who are just wasting it (for example, when water is dripping from the tap). Inlet Sizing

Volute

Changing Energy States: From the suction force of the motor moving into the interior area where the impellers are located, the water is gradually pushed from the center and centrifugally pushed against the outer alloy walls, and discharged onto the outlet of the Horizontal Multistage pump. The energy change in this sequence occurs at various points from kinetic to pressure. This is due to the reduction of speed and increase of water pressure through filling the volute chamber. This event follows the rule established by Bernoulli’s principle, a rule based on scientific observation and legislation.
