As an important component for the longevity of one’s water pump, the Torrium2, may be fitted to Davey’s HM90-13T. Designed as an electronic smart controller, it regulates water flow to maintain consistent pressure in residential and commercial buildings. The pump is automatically triggered when a pressure drop occurs and stops when the flow rate reduces to approximately 1 litre per minute (LPM), ensuring efficient operation.
The Torrium2 helps minimise unnecessary pump cycling by regulating the start and stop cycles of the Horizontal Multistage electropump. Its built-in control mechanism ensures gradual acceleration and deceleration, reducing water hammer, a hydraulic shock resulting from abrupt flow changes that can lead to damage in piping, fittings, and system components.
Strong Starting Pressure: The Torrium2 uses an intelligent pressure sensor to start the pump when system pressure falls to around 80% of peak pressure. It records peak pressure each time the pump stops, allowing automatic adjustment to the connected pump’s performance.
Adaptive Start Function: To minimise unnecessary pump cycling caused by leaks, the Torrium2 distinguishes between actual water demand and minor leakage, including small tap drips. When very low flow is detected, the controller lowers its start pressure threshold to 50% of the previously recorded pressure, preventing unnecessary pump activation. O-Ring And Spacer
